I have a macky 1604 vlz pro and I'm trying to figure out how to make the direct out work. I tried to read the manual but it doesnt tell you how to use the damn thing.
Any thing will help.
I have a band and gig around the state of california, I have to use demos to get gigs with so I baught this compact hard dick recorder with all the bells and whistles. It does put out some fair cuts but sometimes the damn thing gives me problems.
Now I dont know if I want to get into the more...
I have a Zoom hard disk recorder I'm just trying to find someone who knows anything about it.
Its a compact device that has all the recording studio FX's built in with midi.
I cut some songs on it allready but they could sound better.
Any words of wizdom out there?
Is there a such a thing as an external CD midi filer that you can hook directly to the midi device?
I have the yamaha midi filer and its definitly a workhorse. I just want a newer system.

I dont see much zoom users (is that a bad sign?) out there, but I tried linking my dr5 to my zoomMRS1044cd and ran into a couple headaches. One is that the bass on the dr5 can go to 6 string and goes to low B where the zoom bass sound only goes to E.
An other question is hows the roland...
I see a lot of info about Boss- Roland didgetital midi's and recording equipment and I'm wandering if there any better than my zoom 1044cd hard disk recording studio?
I also tried to run my roland DR5 to it and it looks like I may have to change some of the kits in both midi's.
Any Ideas anybody?
