Hey everybody, I'm having trouble recording vocals in Logic so I'm looking for some suggestions. I have a Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 and I have the AKG C214 going into through that into Logic. And my problem? The vocals sound like crap. Depending on the project and style I can sometimes tweak...

Just read in another thread that "if it has corners, it needs acoustic treatment". Now, I'm sure this would be far more strenuous financially, but in theory how would a circular room work out? Would the curvacious surface be sound wave reflecting hell? Or would it just diffuse the frequencies?

I've been running around with a measuring tape and imagining spaces, and I've come to the conclusion that 14x28 would be a far superior measurement with most things considered, and seeing ideal shed/outbuilding measurements. 18x10 is definitely [to my imagination] smaller than a decent size...

Ok, so I took a leap of faith, pretty much a blind jump off a cliff, and ordered the AKG c214. Ended up having saved the exact amount that would leave exactly 400 for the mic, and picked it, having heard decent things about it. I do hope this was not a foolish decision.
