    Why Are You Sleeping?

Thanks for listening and compliments! Hm, I'll think about changing the ending, could be a bit abrupt, doesn't hurt to try and see what it sounds like. Thanks for listening and your comments! Pitch is hard, on the one hand I wish I could sing more accurate but as you said I like it when it's...

    Alternative Pop Rock - Waiting

Great mix overall! Would like some more low-end in the kick, I think the snare is a bit to "snappy" would like some depth. It's a bit busy in the first verse for me, maybe mute one of the guitars? I would have removed some of the reverb on the hi-hat also. The bass and vocals is perfect imo.

    Why Are You Sleeping?

Hehe, I never intended to do a 80s song but I guess it must be true if two of you say so. Depeche Mode is a favourite so I have no problem with that! Nice to hear about the pronunciation, its so hard to hear yourself. Thanks for listening!

Them Bones - Vocal and Rhythm Guitar Cover

God job, sounds very similar! Maybe the vocals are a bit harsh sometimes especially in the chorus (around 1 kHZ maybe?). I also think the guitar in the original is a bit wider in the mix and has a bit more reverb.

    Why Are You Sleeping?

Hm, yeah, maybe it's a bit to much effect in the chorus. I'll check that when I do my next mix. Also the synths. Thanks a lot! Thank you! Will do as much I have time to! That's very helpful! That's a thing that's hard to point out when you listened to the song to many times... But I...

    Why Are You Sleeping?

Thanks for the comments! I think I may go over the lyrics a bit, I'm not 100% satisfied myself (I think lyrics are the hardest part) and flow is very important. Yeah, exactly, I try to tell my family/friends I can take criticism but it's hard to know how truthful they are...

    Why Are You Sleeping?

Hello, hello, I made a song and would be happy if anyone would help with some criticism. I've asked friends/family etc, but it's hard to know if they're just being nice... There are some things I wanted your help with especially: 1. Mixing of the song. How does it sound to you? Do you have...

    Pro Tools vs Ableton

Pro Tools I think is a bit harder to grasp at the start. Not as intuitive especially when it comes to midi and software instruments. Ableton is easier to start music production right away, with good software instruments and MIDI capabilities. But as you said, Pro Tools is fantastic to mix with...

    Silence - alternative pop rock

Great sound and vocals! I agree with some of the people above, the cymbals are a bit to sharp/high in the mix for me. Also I think the snare would be better with more body. Maybe lower the bass a bit.

    Focusrite 8i18 and Ableton questions.

As I mostly use my Macbook nowadays I don't know about the drivers in Windows today but every audio interface I used before had no problem in Windows. For me Ableton is a better program than Cubase, easier to work with, more possibilities etc. But that's really subjective. Try Cubase if it's...

    What monitors do you use?

Equator D5s and an Avantone mixcube. Hoping to upgrade the Equators in the near future (even though they are great for the price), but the Avantone I couldn't live without now. I also use Ultrasone Pro2900 a lot (as I listen mostly to music in headphones anyway).

    Bad Dreams II

I like this song! For me I think the drums could be changed, I like them in the bridge (1:54) and to the end of the song but before that maybe do them a bit cleaner/less roomy (if you get what I mean...). I would like to cut some mid (600-700 Hz maybe) in the vocals and maybe add some more...
