got a question what do you guys mostly limit with comps out the box. I dont see a lot of hardware limiters in the studio, you know to get the final overall level. Do guys just go from the mastering comp or the last hardware unit in the chain back in digital to use digital limiting or...? Just...

Just wanna give a jist, Linear Phase EQ boost & cuts does not add much phase shift and inevitably "noise" to the actual signal. Minimal Phase EQ's adds more phase shift and add noise to the signal when boost & cuts. (also reason why digital linear phase EQ's are more targeted to mastering...

I wanted to ask how you guys pan lead vox. Im in pro tools, I send lead channel (mono) to a stereo channel my stereo channel is panned hard left hard right so 100 each way. Been doin it this way for a while. What do you guys do? weather you do it the same way or you dont bus lead to stereo track...

I hear it all bout stereo imaging.... - dont mess with it - it can cause phase problems - can change the balance of the mix - can add depth to a master - can adds resonants - can actually cause "in-phase" instruments seem out of phase - make a master wide and better sounding Knowledge...
