Hi everyone.
Does anyone have any advice whether anyone out there might still be using or interested in a Creative EMU 0404 PCI card or similar? I have one that has been boxed up for years, but I'm not sure if they are still used or if it is possible to re-home it. I've been using a laptop and...
Take up running or swimming; for me it can really help with breathing and strenth/power when singing. I don't do either but can sing fairly well, but on the rare occasion I open my lungs up my singing afterwards is a lot stronger.
Singing as loud as possible also helps when getting used to what...
Fender really aren't that great for acoustics - you can definately do better for the price.
Might I suggest trying out a Freshman if you can? For their price you end up with a guitar which could be sold for about twice the price. I think they're a London based company. My local shop gets them in...
D'Addario EXP phosphor bronze strings last forever and keep a great sound for like 3-4 times as long as most other's I've used. I do tend to beat up my guitar a bit and they've never actually broke. I just change them every fwe months.
The luthier guy who sorts my guitars recomended Maxima Golds...
It's not that I don't like the sound, it's a great little amp; just curious as to what difference can be made - always worth looking into this sort of thing! Never really had an abundance of valves lying around to experiment with :).
I'm thinking of putting new valves in my Laney LC15 but don't really know where to start with getting a better sound. Not sure of what valves are in it at the moment but its the factory ones. As it is the amp makes very dirty driven sounds with the gain cranked up (which I like but its not...
Thanks guys.
So what if I were to connect the amp to a load other than the speaker? As long as it matched (8 ohms in this case) it should be fine? I'm guessing that might get a bit hot though.
Hi,
I'm looking to record electric guitar from the line out on my Laney LC15. However, what I would ideally like to do is disconnect the speaker first by unclipping it from the two speaker clips in the back. So basically the question is - is this safe to run the amp like this or could it damage...
I do realise that everythig I could possibly need is easily available in software form but like I said Elmo89m, I've been using Cakewalk and bits of Cubase for a couple of years and it's not gotten me anywhere. It seems like I'd learn a lot more via non-software orientated methods even if a bit...
Hey man. Awesome tunes. The songs themselves are compellingly miserable and then the production is very apropriate. Not the bestest ever produciton but all the ideas work really well. Sounds like a mash of Elliot Smith with The Microphones with the Black Heart Procession with Air (maybe). These...
Hi there
I'm trying to get more into recording music, mainly because I write a lot of songs and am generally interested in how the music I listen to is produced. I've been using Cakewalk and bits of Cubase for a couple of years actually but what I've always found with computer/software recording...
