I am an IT Consultant from Memphis, TN. I began building my first recording studio at the age of 12. I had already learned to play the guitar and was starting on teaching myself how to play piano. My family had also purchased our second PC around that time. Just turning 13, my parents had given me a Sony Walkman, which was "the coolest portable tape player at that time". I didn't really have many tapes to listen to though. For some reason I had a George Jones cassette tape, likely my fathers, and I put the tape in my new Walkman not really knowing what to expect. I walked outside and hopped onto my 1977 Honda XR75 dirt-bike, pressed play on the Walkman, and went for my daily dirt track ride. What I heard that day would change my life forever! I discovered Stereo Music! I was blown away by one guitar playing in my right ear and a dobro in my right ear. The simple panning of two instruments, one all the way to the left and the other all the way to the right, with No Show Jones singing in the center excited me! My quest to learn how to record music, as I had heard on that George Jones tape, began that day! I now have a very complex studio with hundreds of instrument, effects, samples and so much more.
