I too I'm still rocking ProTools. With everything being subscription based nowadays, it just makes sense to get a software that has been around since the 90's for a monthly price. There is also the capability of learning online at YouTube too if you come across some issues.

You'd be very surprised, a lot of professional engineers are very affordable!
