Hi everybody, I just came across this big news, i.e. SE released a new SE2200A II Cardioid only, which is supposed to take the place of the "old" SE2200A.
As far as I know, the new black "2200" is only available in the US at the moment, and will be sold elsewhere starting may.
Did anybody of you...
hi everybody,
I am planning some recordings with my a capella vocal group (a small choir of 15-18 people).
I could face a couple of problems:
1) in a piece there's going to be a solo bass (myself! ;) ) singing before the choir
2) in some pieces the soprano section could be a little weak with...
Hi everybody,
the following question arose after reading some posts here.
I have a RME Fireface 400, I mostly use the embedded pres of.
I see there are two line inputs on the front I have happened to use with an external pre (DAV BG-1).
I would like to know how many pres I can plug simultaneouly...
Hi everybody, do you have experience with the Oktava MK-101?
If I got it right, it should be a MK-012 "pencil" body with a LDC head on top of it.
Is it correct?
Do you thinkg that having a pair of MK-012 SDC mics, adding the 101 capsules could be an interesting choice?
Thank in advance.
Hi everybody,
I currently own a Fireface 400 audio interface, which I connect via firewire to my laptop.
It has two mic pres, so I am thinking adding some more pres for multichannel takes.
I have two chances:
1) I get a standard mic pre (es RME Quadmic) with analog line output, and I plus those...
Hi everybody,
I am trying to figure out what kind of SDC I could buy for occasional choir recording.
I am thinking of some budget stuff, but would like the quality to be at least acceptable, with good frequency response and good reliability.
Stated that I already own a matched pair of Oktava...
Hi all,
For my occasional concert recordings I bought a Fireface 400 some time ago, thinking that two pres were enough for plain stereo recordings. Then I added a DAV BG-1 stereo pre to the equipment, to ensure a couple more channels to be managed.
Now I am thinking of increasing the simultanous...
Hi everybody, going on in my search for a nice LDC (male voice, some acoustic instrument), I hadn't considered any tube mike (although I do love tubes in my hi-fi setup) mostly because of the price.
Given that I don't want to spend many hundreds of euros since I use the equipment quite...
Hi everybody again,
I know this thread will call for "blame on you" posts (Moresound?) ;), but I am still in the process of choosing some LDC for male (baritone-bass) voice and acoustic instruments recording, together with some live performance catching (small vocal group).
I have a Fireface 400...
Hi everybody,
I am currently thinking about getting myself a budget LDC for occasional recording of male vocal (myself, baritone-bass), some acoustic instrument and my small (15 people) vocal group.
I put my eyes on the SE2200A (which one can get at interesting price now that it's discontinued)...
Hi there,
did anybody of you fellows try the just released SE2200A II (the multi pattern one)?
I am curious to find out if the added multi pattern feature is worth the extra price.
In the meantime I found a couple of SE2200A's (the n/c version without flight case) for a reasonable price at a...
For what it may be worth...
I just received a note from the italian importer of the sE Electronics products.
The well estimated SE2200A LDC mike ran out of produtcion and is now substituted by the newly released multipattern SE2200 II.
According to the introductory offer, the SE2200A II will...
Hi all,
I sing in a small vocal group (some 15 people), we do mostly ancient music and play some acoustic instruments along.
We happen to perform in small concert rooms.
I am wondering how much a (relatively) high microphone noise level (say, 17-20 dB) can affect a live recording of our concert...
Hi there,
I've been reading a lot of good feedbacks about the sE SE2200A as a budget microphone well performing on vocals and acoustic instruments.
I see that this mike isn's as quiet as others (Rode NT1-A is know for its 5 dB noise level), so I was wondering if some tweak on this mike could...
Hi everybody,
maybe the subject has been covered a thousand times, nevertheless I post the following question because I ifnd it difficult to seek for answers in such a big amount of threads. ;)
I am considering getting myself a couple of large diaphragm condenser microphones. They are intended...
