Hi everybody, I just came across this big news, i.e. SE released a new SE2200A II Cardioid only, which is supposed to take the place of the "old" SE2200A.
As far as I know, the new black "2200" is only available in the US at the moment, and will be sold elsewhere starting may.
Did anybody of you...
I just found this eBay auction:
eBay Italia - Aste online e shopping a prezzo fisso
It looks like this one could be the right one for you, Mr Baldy. ;)
Here I am!
The shockmounts I ordered arrived today.
I tried to stick the 420 into one of them, but the result wasn't exceptional: although one can fit the mic by forcing it into the shockmount, the mic's weight makes the mic lean toward a side (thanks to the elastic suspension).
To make a long...
I did some recording tonight, have to check them carefully yet, but the sound seems to be good. I ended up using an X-Y setup, spacing the stereo image by panning the two channels apart. If there's something good, I'll share with you guys. ;)
hi everybody,
I am planning some recordings with my a capella vocal group (a small choir of 15-18 people).
I could face a couple of problems:
1) in a piece there's going to be a solo bass (myself! ;) ) singing before the choir
2) in some pieces the soprano section could be a little weak with...
Hi everybody,
the following question arose after reading some posts here.
I have a RME Fireface 400, I mostly use the embedded pres of.
I see there are two line inputs on the front I have happened to use with an external pre (DAV BG-1).
I would like to know how many pres I can plug simultaneouly...
Do you know the RME pres? Do you consider them clean and neutral (I happen to record only ancient music, so I think I'd better aim at this kind of non-colored sound)? Somebody makes me think that 100 euros per channel (here in Italy the Quadmic goes for about 400 euros) isn't that much if you...
Thank you Michael, I had already read those pages, nevertheless I went back to them and had some more reading. ;)
I was only wondering what actual differences are to be noticed between 101 and 104 (which appears to be way more expensive).
Thanks.
I myself add a point.
Do you know the MK-104 capsule as well? Can you tell me what differences are to be found between MK-104 and MK-101, sound-wise?
Thank you.
Hi everybody, do you have experience with the Oktava MK-101?
If I got it right, it should be a MK-012 "pencil" body with a LDC head on top of it.
Is it correct?
Do you thinkg that having a pair of MK-012 SDC mics, adding the 101 capsules could be an interesting choice?
Thank in advance.
