    What VST's Do You Use?

    For me, pretty much anything Native Instruments is good! I love their vintage compressors. Surprisingly, i also like the default VST (Technically RTAS) effects that come with Protools M-Powered!

    What DAW do you use?

    I started on Audacity, then moved to Sequel by Steinberg, upgraded to Cubase. But now I use Protools M-Powered which is my personal favorite.

    Mac Audio Interface

    If you're looking for something really budgeted you could check out some of the Phonic interfaces (Phonic firefly 302). That unit only has one XLR and one 1/4 inch. You could also check out something like an Echo Audiofire 4. This one has 2 inputs that can be XLR or 1/4 inch.

    Multitracking on my Sony TC-230 reel to reel

    So I recently bough a sony TC-230 reel to reel and I just have a question about it. I know this might sound like a silly question but with this unit, how do I record on the left side while hearing what I've already recorded on the right side? I've tried recording stereo and only having one side...
