    Tascam 414 MKII 110/220V..

Ok, I found out that this is the adaptor I have: http://www.digitekco.com/ad_tp.htm So..it says AC/DC regulated. So I'm assuming this means I can safely use it with the 414?

    Tascam 414 MKII 110/220V..

Thanks for clearing that up for me. Well, I do have a power supply here. Specs are: Input: 100-240V 17W 50/60Hz Output: 3-12V 1000Ma So I guess that would work right? The supplied power supplies' output is 12V 650Ma. But how do I find out if it is AC or DC?

    Tascam 414 MKII 110/220V..

Hi, I just bought a Tascam 414 MKII on eBay.. it went for 100$.. couldn't let that deal slip, seeing as they go for around 300$ new over here. Now maybe I should've thought twice about that. It occured to me only later that off course the voltages in the US are different than in Europe. You use...

    Couple of ProTools questions

I don't know how it is compared to other schools around the world, but the one I'm at is nothing special. There are 2 locations here, one in Amsterdam, the other in Rotterdam. The latter is where I study at. It is extremely small, not much studio facilities but quite alot of students, which...

    Couple of ProTools questions

Hi, I'm doing an exam on ProTools tomorrow at the SAE (School for Audio Engineering) where I'm studying at the moment. There's a few little things I'm not sure on so here goes; -How can I put one plugin on multiple tracks? -On the Procontrol, how do I get into surround mix mode? That's pretty...

    Cleaning a 388's pots

So I placed an ad looking for someone to look at my 388. There's a few things that are not working and I think most of it comes from the pots which are really crackly and need a cleaning. Anyway, I just got an email from a guy saying cleaning the pots on a 388 is nearly impossible due to the...

    Tascam 38

I think I'll pass on this. As you said relapping would cost me another 300$ at least, making it a 500$ total which is a bit more then I want to spend at the moment. I still have my 388 which needs some work done. I'd feel better spending my cash on that. Thanks for the advice people :)

    Tascam 38

thanks alot for that list Ghost, I went to check out the machine today and it was in excellent condition on all points, except for the heads. They were quite worn, and I could hear there was quite a bit of top-end missing when the guy played back some tapes. Hm..I'm not really sure if I should...

    Tascam 38

So.. I was going to buy that Otari MX5050, but someone snagged it before me..argh, seemed like a really cool machine. Anyway, I have a new deal going on now, it's a Tascam 38, said to be in good shape (will be checking that out soon). I can get it for about 200$, good deal or not? Anyway, what...

    110 / 220 on Tascam 414

Hah, that use-Tascam-only shit is bollocks. It's the same with Boss guitar pedals. I've used other power supplies on those with no problems at all. Anyway, thanks for clearing that up and I'll try to find of those plug converters.

    110 / 220 on Tascam 414

Just a quick question. If I buy a Tascam 414 Porta from the USA , will I be able to use it over here in Europe at 220V?

    Firewire 410 vs. Firewire Audiophile

Well if I had the money to buy 2 of those VTB's or any higher end pre for that matter, I'd do it immediately, but this is not the case. It's really either the 410 or the Audiophile with a Yamaha MG10/2 or Behringer UB802. So, would the difference be negligible or..?
