Hey guys, I'm going to Memphis this weekend and plan on checking out Sun Studio while I'm there. I hear they modernized the place in the mid 80's, but surely they still have some cool analog stuff there. Anybody been there?

The pitch control on my 488mkii is giving me problems. The tape speed is faster than usual when the pitch wheel is in the center position. Also, any movement or a slight bump of the unit will cause the pitch to alter. What would cause this? Belt? Motor? Rubber band about to snap? :confused:

Yeah, what is up with that? I've also noticed that a lot of the digitally remastered stuff sounds bad. It's louder, but I can hear...digital clipping? That's what it sounds like.
