    Acid Pro 5

I use acid 5.0 and don't use audition, but I'd say do your recording in audition and your mixing in acid. acid is great for loops and mixing, but it's not the easiest recording enviroment. We are talking acid pro here aren't we?

    Home Studio 2004?

What I'm looking for is an app to record vocals, instruments, etc. Also, I need something to record and edit midi. I don't need anything esoteric, just basic. Acid can do the rest for me. Acid plays loops and wav. files, and midi (VSTis), and uses DX effects. Home Studio can do the wav.s...

    Home Studio 2004?

I use Acid as my main app, but I would like something for editing and recording midi and audio. The new Home Studio 2004 looks good, and I think it may fit my needs. I'll do mixing in Acid, so I I think Sonar may be too much. What do you think?

Why people actually pay for recording software..

There is a law of nature that has caused me some "pause" in my downloading. Some people would say,"What goes around, comes around." Others would say,"You reap what you sow." Anyway, I'd rather not have stealing come back on me. You get to make up your on mind for you.

i demoed the yamaha motif 6

You could also look at a smaller (cheaoer) keyboard for your second. Just look for something that sounds different than the Triton.

    Loops CD's ?

I think you would call it 70s feel. It's definately Mick, but the drum sound is now. Plus there are some percussion loops. There a number of blues (swing) loops, and to me that is 70s. The drum sugar CD is also great. It thends to work in a lot of styles, but it is on the funk side where...

    Loops CD's ?

I hope I'm not being overly simplistic, but with cymbals you just start a collection. You can find a lot on the 'net, but they are usually short. I've gotten some good ones from the 8 packs. In fact, there is a pretty good gong in this months "get media." I think the mick fleetwood CD has...

i demoed the yamaha motif 6

Every manufacturer and I guess every keyboard line has a sound of its own. You've just got to find yours. The motif is a great keyboard but it has strengths as well as weaknesses. To me it is best in the electric piano dept. The triton has these big fat sounds. But they can get in the way...

    Gospel/R&B

If you could find a copy of acid hip-hop it should be really cheap (under$20). Plus it comes with a CD of loops.

Acid Pro 3,should I stick with it or......

Sound Forge Studio does not support DX effects. There are some other differences, but you get the idea. It's like "sound forge lite." Good but incomplete.

    Loops CD's ?

I see the benifit of the creativity the slicing and dicing gives you, but sometimes you are in a hurry. To me it is like hiring a really good but very inexpensive player.

    Rock Drum Loops

Drumsugar is my favorite Acid Drum loop CD. It's a little funky but it fits into a lot of different styles. Drum Tool is very clean, very basic, and sounds great (Loops and Fills). And Mick Fleetwood is... well I didn't know that he played that well. I don't think you'll be sorry with any of...

using ACID w/ fruity loops & cool edit?

A VSTi is a program with-in a program. Acid 4.0 can use VSTis. Earlier versions cannot. You would use FL as a VSTi if you were to want to run it at the same time as you were running acid. If you are happy with FL for loop creation you probably would want to do that. It's just another...
