I have been reading and watching stuff about gain staging have followed someone .....imported every instrument or let's say sounds from vsts at -12 db ( maximum peaking at -12), exported the mix at -6 (max peak at -6db)to -8 db and exported master at -0.1 db .... in the meter.RMS level it now...

Watched in a tutorial that it would be good if all input levels from vsts on logic software tracks are keep at -12 on the pre fader .....now after doing that when I am trying to start my mix I am realizing I am not able to increase the volume of instruments much with faders (post fader) .... 1)...
