    silent keys-Axiom 49

    I just bought an Axiom 49 midi controller so I could write and record key parts, but I the center 5 keys (F# thru B) don't make a sound. Any idea why, or how to get them to play notes? I've tried in GarageBand, Reason, and SimpleSynth.

    using plugins on iLok

    I just bought an iLok so that I could get some new plug-ins. But after downloading the plugin to the iLok, I can't find the plug-in in Pro Tools. Can somebody help me out here?

    MXL603s vs. MXL604 (for overheads)

    I'm considering buying a stereo pair of MXL's, but I'm wondering how big a deal the -10db pad is for recording drum OH's. I can get the 603s's for about $100, as opposed to $200 for the 604's. Any advice?:confused:
