When I bought my 22-2, the heads looked worse. After cleaning off all the sticky shed, they looked immaculate. That crap makes heads look more worn then they really are. I'd say you should be fine after a cleanup.

Thanks guys, I got an appliance cord to work. I've checked out the machine. I cleaned and demagged it. I was able to record on every track but #4. Also, when playing back a 2-track tape in 4-track mode, I could listen through outputs 1-3 only. What are the most common causes of this? Also...

Shit... I don't have a power cable. I checked for something at Lowes and Home Depot, but couldn't find anything like it. Is this proprietary, or can I find a cable somewhere?
