Regarding the pop filter... If you're really hurting for cash, a coathanger, some duct tape, and a pair of old panty hose will do the trick. Some cheaper ones can be had for less than $10 though. Mine was about ten bucks, has a clip-on mount and a malleable ("bendy") rod to hold the screen...
