    Subwoofers

I'm not familiar with these enclosures since I'm not into live sound really, but are they folded horn or direct radiator enclosures? A folded horn will do wonders for your bass response not to mention add more of an element of directional control. If they are direct radiator cabs, The 215 cab...

    Never buy this f_cking shit

Bah! Not all Peavey amps suck. I'll swear by the Peavey Deuce II - The only Peavey amp I ever enjoyed playing through. *The Deuce II is nothing like the 80's Deuce combo. The Deuce II is a 120-Watt 6L6 tubed monster. A little hard to find nowadays, but it's well worth it in my book*

    AKG C-3000 Any Thoughts?

I used one for vocal tracking once. If you have a singer with a robust voice then the mic works just fine. Overall I wasn't very happy with the mic. I like the AKG Solidtube though.

    96khz ???

I used to record and mix in 44.1/16, but that was only due to the fact that I was running a 533MHz Celeron at the time. That all ended when a client brought me 48/24 tracks to mix. Try pumping 24 tracks of 48/24 through a Celeron! I had to buy a new system, but it was well worth it because the...

    Never buy this f_cking shit

I'm right there with ya man! That must be a lucky number or something because 3 months after my warranty expired something blew in my Studio32. I didn't see smoke, but I could smell it. I took it to what used to be an authorized Alesis repair shop to have it fixed. Luckily it only cost me $120...

    Never buy this f_cking shit

I would think it's almost safe to say that anything with a low price point is not going to be up to snuff once you've heard a better unit. The only thing I can think of would be the Boss MT-2 Metal Zone distortion pedal. For a live rig it soars, but for recording it's a real pain in the ass...

    Echo Vs. Motu

The new HD MOTU stuff looks real nice, but I've had my doubts about their interfaces due to so many people complaining about their compatibility issues. I'm going to stay with my Layla and just get the Layla EXP to add on to it. Thanks for all your advice! It's greatly appreciated.

    What should i buy next?

Get three! For $60 you can snag three Samson R11 microphones. They are a bit more hollow than a 57, but they are decent mics nonetheless.

    Anyone at all?

    Echo Vs. Motu

I already have an Echo Layla24 unit, but I'm thinking about selling it and getting a Mark of the Unicorn 24I/O system. I've never used MOTU gear, but I've heard that they aren't very reliable on PC platform systems. The Echo has already proven itself reliable, but I need more inputs and the...
