Broken Shards by Lost in Time

Didn't really notice it too much beforehand, one of those things that I didn't really notice until it was pointed out to me. haha Lowered the highs a bit, also cut some of the lows out on the distorted guitars because I noticed they seemed overpowering during the verses...

Raised the drums up a little bit, think it brought them out a bit more. Thanks for the input! https://soundcloud.com/shaun-clupper/omega-1

Broken Shards by Lost in Time

Turned the distorted guitars down slightly, and I turned the echo down on the vocals. Especially early on. Didn't really pay much mind to it before, but I agree now that you pointed it out that it was a bit over bearing. I tend to do that with reverbs and echoes. I edited the original post with...

Broken Shards by Lost in Time

I've posted this in the past, without vocals, but was finally able to get the vocals recorded for this. Let me know what you think of it https://soundcloud.com/shaun-clupper/broken-shards-0 Thanks!

Capturing a better lead/overdriven guitar sound: clear condenser mic vs shure 57

What do you consider to be affordable? I have a couple Rode mics that I love for various things. Pair of M5's go for $200 (they're small pencil condensers, but they still work good). Also have a pair of NT1A's (that, funny enough, I bought for $200 used. New, they go for around $200 each I...

Amp simulator vs tube amps for home studio.

I think you'll get a better response if you post your problem over on the Fractal forums, if you haven't already.

Amp simulator vs tube amps for home studio.

I own an Axe FX II and a small handful of amps (JCM800, Peavey Windsor, and a Burgera 6260). I personally prefer the Axe FX. If you have the opportunity, plug the Axe FX into a cabinet and you'll get that lovely "amp in the room" sound. The amps on the Axe FX are pretty spot on, they only sound...

    the Werewolf song

So, you've been posting the same song for over 10 years now, hoping to get feedback on that mix? Are you not happy with it after all these years or just done with it? Or is it that you re-record it every so often for some reason (I, personally have been down that road. Thinking you can always...

    the Werewolf song

Pretty sure this sub forum is for getting feedback on a mix, not for promoting your music. Guessing that's why they're being so hostile toward you, especially since you've been apparently "working on" the same song for 10-15 years?

    Hurricane

Huh. I really didn't think the reverb was that bad, but since that seems to be the consensus, I'll whack some of it off. Definitely appreciate the criticism though! I panned the guitars harder to the sides, but I didn't pan the heavy guitars all the way to the sides because I really just didn't...
