    midi tracks

If the MPC can send MTC/SMPTE you can track your audio to AA. I do it with MPC-1k and AA 1.5, but my MPC has the unofficcial os upgrade. Check MPC-forums.com for more about the MPC capabilities.

Cool Edit Pro 2.0 vs Adobe Audition 1.5

i have been using cep2 for years and was reluctant to switch. I recently reconfigured my studio from hardware to soft. Using Reason for production with a gang of sound libraries. I tried the demo of AA and bought it because it has rewire support.

    mpc 2000 or reason???

You are comparing a $600- $1200 piece of hardware that is close to 15 years old, to $300 software. The MPC is a nice tool, but it is just a sequencer/drum machine/sampler and is limited to (32 MB). It does not compare to Reason, which is an entire production suite. If your PC has good specs, I'd...

Which Sound Card For which Software

I have had problems with the USB audiophile working with HS2002. So, you might really need to do a little more research before you just start purchasing gear. It's to expensive to take a trial & error approach to equipment purchases

Audiophile USB PROBLEM! * help *

Go through the menu make sure you have record enable monitoring selected in CEP. Also check your device properties to see if the USB Audiophile is the soundcard selected for output. With the audiophile you can either go wave out digital (S/PDIF) or analog (headphone out or RCA) but not both.

    Midi suggestions requested

I've checked all ports and reinstalled drivers for the Audiophile USB, but still haven't had any success. I now know that the problem lies with the midi drivers. I can't say whether it is a XP-usb issue or just the audiophile having inadequate drivers for this product. I contacted Tech support...
