Questions- 1.Is this tape actually better than Quantegy?If so-how so? 2.Is their glee related only to their ability to purchase the tape cheaper,but charge us the same,therefore making a financial killing?Or will this tape cost the consumer less,too?

I bought a tape from ebay just the other day. It is on a small reel,and the reel has small holes in it. No way is this thing going to mount up on my Otari 1/4" deck with the NAB hubs. What are my options? I'm assuming I could take the NAB adapters off,and the little reel would mount then.But I...

Mine had similar issues. The reel tables weren't positioned properly,and I had dropouts on 3 channels. The main board had to be re-soldered,and several other adjustments made. Had a professional do the work.It wasn't cheap,but now it works correctly.

If you use the Search function,you will find several threads here that address this. The manual shows diagrams of how the wiring should be attached to the connectors.I'm no authority on this,but am assuming this is some oddball proprietary way Otari did this. I do recall that my first attempts...

Do you have the manual? I use a Focusrite pre on mine.It is necessary.

There is a company that still does it,but I can't recall who they are. I bet you could Google an answer.
