Just Fine - Original Guitar, Piano, and Voice Track

This is great Live42, thanks for sharing it. My only thought is that the piano seems a bit weak in parts. May be look at a bit of short reverb to make sure its "in the room". Talking of reverb, a bigger sound overall might be worth exploring. See if you can use the full stereo spectrum... good luck.

It's About Me - Pop Song

Sounds great to me. Very polished performances, recording and production. You call it a pop song but for me, the lack of a well defined chorus that is in itself catchy, means it falls short of being a radio hit but it is a very well crafted piece of work.

Thanks aaronmcoleman, kind words. Cheers AKR, you're right it hasn't been mastered. I wasn't sure the mix was right.

Asking for review on my song - "Alone"

Your vocals remind me of Nick Cave, IMHO there's nothing wrong with them other than the way they are recorded.

New remix - LEAVE FEEDBACK don't just lurk.

Not my bag musically but very well produced. Not sure what advice you are looking for here.

Asking for review on my song - "Alone"

Hi Fede, There's a lot I like about this: the song itself, the shaky vocals, the ambitious use of effects on the vocals. Good job. But, as I think you know, there are a few issues here! First thing that struck was those intro cymbals - way too loud (you cant get away with that level when...

Sex cars lipstick fame - comments appreciated!

Thanks man! I think the synths get the nod - but I will look at the eq to make them less cheesy I think...? Thanks for listening aaronmcoleman and PI, I think you hit the nail on the head, flavour is a very personal thing and its not going to work for everyone. Looking forward to getting this...

Sheeple undermine their own individuality and may willingly give up their rights

Like a previous poster said, I think the political comment is confusing. Your lyrics don't alienate anyone but, to me, they don't seem to say what you really mean either and after reading all of your posts on this thread I still don't know what political policies you stand for. Sorry, but if a...

Oops, forgot about this thread! Thanks PI. It's not mastered so I guess that would explain that??? jameslondon69, will check out Electric Six. Thanks TripleM, youre not the first one to mention the synth not fitting - will look at it. Thanks for listening, gcolbert & heatmiser Sad that I am...

New Pop/Rock song in the works, need some advice.

Agree with most of the above - very 80's feel. After the (Radiohead "Creep") kerchunk guitar, signaling the heavy bit & I think the drum sound is too soft because of the verb. Good sound tho.

    Color Me, crappy, perhaps?

Welcome back Greg. Mods, every forum needs a Greg! Anyway, to the song... I like it. Really good melody, great mood and I like the nonsense lyrics. It brought to mind that birdcage song by They Might be Giants. The piano riffs are great. There's not a lot wrong with this in my view but the toms...

    Three Four Time

Sorry BP, not meant as a jab. The track reminded me of bowie - or maybe Ronson to be more accurate with the acoustic sound and the Ziggy electric coming in mid song. The drum sound is not doing you any fovours though. 3/4 time can have echoes of a guy at a wedding with a casio keyboard if you...
