How do I get the cakewalk pro audio 9 to playback the sound that was recorded on a track and not the sound of the program that my alesis QS6.1 is set to at the time of recording??? someone???....Anyone?????

I Just bought the QS6.1 and I'm trying to hook it up to my P.C. I beleive I have the serial port from the keyboard into the right port on the computer....but low and behold nothing happens when I strike a key. I tried using a cakewalk 9 demo and the soundbrige software that came with it but...
