Auralaxiom

My name is Ryan Thomas, and I am the owner of Ryan Thomas Productions. I began playing music when I was 5 years old. My mother was a full-time professional piano and vocal instructor, so I didn’t really have much of a choice in the matter. I started on the piano, but have since learned to play a number of different instruments. While the saxophone is my primary instrument, I am also regularly hired to play oboe, pennywhistle, and other auxiliary instruments (i.e., shaker, background/main vocals, sequencing, etc.). I have found music to be a richly rewarding creative endeavor that, I believe, allows us to participate in certain aspects of God’s beauty.

I have a good deal of experience in the music industry. As a freshman in college, I was accepted into the Sounds of Liberty, which is a full-time, full scholarship traveling band from Liberty University. I then took a few years off to travel with a pop/rock band called Six Chasing Seven. We were blessed to have recorded with the likes of Boyd Tinsley from the Dave Matthews Band and Robert Randolph. We also played shows with bands such as My Favorite Highway, Parachute, and Civil Twilight. It was a real blast. Besides being a full-time member of the two groups mentioned above, I have performed with a list of bands and artists too long to list.

In the spring of 2013, I opened Auralaxiom Productions, which then became Ryan Thomas Productions. In addition to my services as a live instrumentalist, I now offer everything from engineering albums to writing fully orchestrated film scores. I love what I do and thank God that I'm able to do it for a living.
