I found the best mic position for this one was sitting at the bottom of my closet collecting dust.

I have a little bedroom studio and a few mics. I keep them in my Girlfriend's underwear drawer...I am not allowed to have random boxes and pouches so I use whats there...But a lil file cabinet sounds like a good idea

Anyone know where I can find a good article or some other reading that explains the proper way to go about this. I know I found one back in the day but I could definitly use a brush up. I tried search but came up dry. Thanks

This is some sad shit.. I instantly knew after reading the title that this was a question from a fellow rapper....

Nothing but Rap comes out of my room....I use a Re20 for the mic or a cheap Beyer Dynamic and I like what I get out of it...But again I have never used the avalon, phoenix or neve soooooo...Grain of salt...

I just went through this a few months ago and I got a Great River and don't regret the purchase for a minute....It works great for me. Its the only pre I have used in the previously mentioned so that is all I can really say.

Thats a comfy little fantasy land you live in. If I a/b'd a behringer and a Great River I would be able to tell the difference instantly. I don't care what someones untrained ears will or won't hear. I make music for me and am a perfectionist. Nothing pisses me off more than the little whiny...

I grabbed a beyer mic from Steve's in Ottawa....So I wouldn't write off Steve's in Toronto so quick...And remember when your in Toronto always punch a leaf fan in the face... I kid I kid

I am happy with my gear but my little square bedroom makes it really hard to mix well. I am seriously considering Real Traps as my next purchase seeing as I am lazy as hell and don't feel like going the DIY route as of yet.
