Hi there folks: I am going to get myself one of those huge old 21" CRT monitors, and would like to hear opinions on 2 which I could get used for roughly $100,- I def. need a CRT as I also do a lot of photo processing and the LCDs don't quite cut it yet - and space is not an issue :-) Sony...

Does anyone know what type of pick-up....?

i dont think that this will help you - but i am pretty sure they used the original ones ... in those times guitar modding was not as popular as it is now (let alone there was no aftermarket) ... and modding in the 60ies was mostly applying a "paisley paint scheme" :D cheers alfred

What do you think of Laney Amps?

I play through the Tony Iommy signat. series 4x12 and prefer this tone over my 1972 Marshall cab w/ greenbacks ... (which i personally find somewhat lackluster) very solidly put togeter, too ... if you can - give them a try ... also most of their stuff (until the very recent one) seems to be...

    Mesa Vs Marshall

b4 spending big on a Marshall you might want to look into hiwatts ($$$$$$$$) or into the Sovtek Mig series ($) ... i find that both of those give you more than the M.

    Need Expert Opinion On Recording

yeah, a cheap but rather good way is to get an ADAT (8 channel digital lightpipe input) soundcard (e.g. EWS88)... and go for a Behringer ADA8000 outboard a/d d/a converter w/ integrated preamps ... or any other mixer that has a ADAT in/out should be the best 200 - 250 bucks spent and is a very...

    Les paul standard/studio/doublecut

Best sounding Delay/Echo pedal for live rig?

i dont know if its the "best" pedal out there - but i had a boss dd20 which I liked a lot for sound and versatility ... also - a point to bear in mind - this is a ver "practical" pedal that you can really use LIVE (you can store 4 of your own presets) not very much to improve on the dd20 - and...

Help matching the right cab with a low watt tube amp

I have an original 68 Deluxe Reverb (22w) and use it both with the original 1x12" ... and an old (72 or so) Marshall 4x12 cab. The original speaker sounds louder, more "in your face", although the amp cab'd sounds more relaxed - and bigger - as it pushes more air. If you use the cab out jack -...
