  • Hi Tigerfly - I was looking at an old post of yours relating to a bad buzz on a DP-02. I have exactly the same problem with mine. The strange thing is that I can record a drum track from my laptop and it's silent but if I plug a guitar in, it's noisy.

Did you ever reconcile your issue?

    Cheers Howard
    Dear Tigerfly.
I'd post this in the main forum except the staff here get snotty about where the downloads originated....

2 tips you could give me that the book doesn't make clear

Bass. When I EQ it, the lights go high in the soundbars but it don't SOUND any louder. It's not my speakers - downloaded MP3s with bass on boom around the room quite happily. Why is there APPARENTLY so much power in my bass, yet OBJECTIVELY it still sounds so quiet.

Compression. 4 decibels in to get 1 decibel out, that's a 4:1 compression ratio, if I'm not right there, tell me. You're getting ONE QUARTER (4:1 = 1/4) of the volume out. When I use compression everything gets QUIETER by the amount of the ratio. So how's my math wrong? If you're only getting a ratio of the sound out, it's gotta be quieter or it wouldn't be a ratio!

    Yours frustratedly
