  • Hi , are you running Win XP ?? it seems most stable with XP .... Pitchy ?? I don"t have a problem like that but I mostly record bass/guitar and drums , im not not much of a Vocalist ....... I also don"t use the Mic inputs on the Delta 1010LT , I use a seperate mic preamp unit plugged into the RCA"s ...... I don"t think Pitchyness would be caused by the Delta card or lack of room treatment , probably caused by pitchy singing ..... Maybe more info about your setup and a better description of the problem would help me help you .... Cheers
    hey hey
so i got me a delta lt 10/10, <via your recomendation, thanks> got it set up and running with reaper. <crashed a puter already and lost stuff> been recording with mics. its a bit pitchy sounding, i got the gains down, you think this is because im not using a proper mic booth, or am i missing some setting. i read 'most' of the instruction books. i assume this is a common problem, but i dont know th words to search it. thanks for your time man.
Hey , I don"t know what to tell you , I don"t use Abelton So I can"t tell you what is up .... I use Traction and all 14 channels (I use a delta 1010LT and a 44) are there by default .... Maybe try ASIO4all which is what i use as an ASIO driver ....
Hey Minion. I was just looking at your post on multi-carding Delta series interfaces. I have two Delta 66s and both show up in the M-Audio mixer as two separate devices. I configured my DAW (ableton) to pick up 8 channels total from the main M-Audio ASIO driver. However, it seems that only channels 1-4 (basically only one breakout box) will actually leave a usable signal for Ableton -- channels 5-8 are all silent. Any ideas on what's going on?
no thats cool dude, i hear ya. i might ask you for them links someday, but not today. i probably looked at them before, on some sites you gave me.
    Peace dude.
Hey , Well it is a Lot of Work , a Lot of looking for Parts and assembly and I got a Full time job and I am in the middle of renovations so I don"t have a Lot of Time and what Time I do have I am useing building a Super High gain tube Guitar amp .......

You would be better off buying a prebuilt Preamp as it would be a Lot cheaper and quicker .... if you want to build your own I can send you a link to some Kits ??
so your not even gunna consider building me one?
    i beleave we're gunna buy a delta 1010lt.
??The following errors occurred with your submission??
    i dont wanna push 'okay'

    it double posted

just chuck together a mic pre for me out of your junk and i;ll buy it off you.
im looking up the bigger AI now. wouldnt those skinny rca type cables on the 1010 pick up RF?
what do you want for a 8 chan mic pre?
Hey , Well those built in sound cards are pretty noisy and a proper Interface would get you a better quality signal ... Also realize it is better to record at a low Volume (I record at -18db to -24db) and boost the Volume while Mastering than it is to record a Hot mix ....
Personally I would save up more money and get a Interface that has More inputs and more features so you don"t have to upgrade when you outgrow the fast Track , You can get a Firewire interface with 16 inputs for under $500 .....
I use a M-audio delta 1010LT and a delta 44 so I got 14+ inputs and I use home built Mic preamps with them , they are old but are pretty good ....

    Cheers
aye matey, that i am, directly into the line in with a stereo 1/8 jack, splitter, then threw a coax cable to the 1/4 ts in my eq <thats backwards of course>
the eq's got two sets of outs, and one is hooked up to my home stereo amp, and it sounds fine, <little or no static>
im using the old onboard sound card of my xp1800, i some old crappy sound cards, kicking around, i was thinking of trying them, but i dont know what numbers to look for.
    thanks friend.

Hey , The M-audio Fast track would work to get the stereo mix from your mixer into your pc , but I don"t know what you mean by "Without the Fuzz" , Are you connecteing your Mixer to your PC now through the Line in port on your PC and getting a fuzzy signal??
i got a couple questions i apologize if im supposed to send this else where
i need some AI, i dont dare post this cause enuff people already have, with varying results, im looking at the M-Audio Fast Track Pro, i just want to hook my berhringer mx1604a to my puter, without fuzz, will this work? i read tweaks site, and like many newbies, grew more confused.
also i want to buy a spool of cable, as i cant afford 20$+ a cord every time i need one, any leads on decent 3 wire <xlr> cable? leads for both inside of canada woood be sweet.
    Rock on duder.

is this how you send a privite message via HR? or am i spaming you... probably both. anywho, what style of music do you play dude? and thanks for being a useful member of society.
It is pretty much a stripped down version from the Datasheet , pretty much the same minus the DC Servo and Hot plugging protection pluss an output cap added and a resistor for the Ouput RC Filter ... it isn"t the most ideal PCB but it works , could be made much smaller and layed out much better ....

    Cheers

No I don"t have any PCB"s but you can easilly etch yer own .. Ive gotten out of the Mic preamp building/designing phaze and am doing more Guitar amd bass amps and power amps and stuff like that .... good luck
Hi, No I don"t have the link , I probably just found it through google....
Most mic mods are pretty easy to figure out, it is just a matter of changeing the Low quality parts with high quality parts....Like change all ceramic caps with high quality poly or silver caps, change the electrolytics with high quality audio grade caps ...You could also change the capsule to a higher quality peluso or simular....

    Cheers
Hello, I found a thread where you posted a link to a page describing the Behringer C2 mod. That link is dead, and I've tried Google-searching for it, but can't find it. Do you happen to still have a copy of that anywhere? Thanks, Jon
