  • Hello ,
Would you know if i would be able to record on a vf08, save to scsi drive, then load in a d824 for mixing? They both use fdms3 and fdio1 , but diferent versions. (1 &2)

    Thanks,
    Rodriguez
I have a FD-8 that has a hard drive. I have a replacement drive (10G) to give it some extension. I know the software update isn`t available from Fostex.
Anyone has the last update to share... and maybe directions to deglove the machine to get at the drive.

I got it half a year ago and have slowly been learning how to use it effectively. It is cool. Oh, so cool... not a lot more still to do but hook up the CD-R

(Yeah, sure it is old, but so is my bike and my car and my mike and my guitar. I`m old too... time catches you.)

    - Regards,
    Ron
I cannot access the new site. Are there issues? Is it supposed to be up and running? It gives a message that only the administrator can log in.

I have enjoyed and benefited from your responses and posts and wish to continue doing so. You are definately one of the most patient and knowledgeable "support techs" I have ever encountered.

I have a VF160EX and just recently I realized that the unit is recording and playing back everything at -6.0% speed, any thoughts why and how to correct? I have obviously used the pitch control to correct but am worried there may be an internal failure causing the problem.

Hi! So I see that you are one of the foremost experts on fostex support? can you please tell me how I make the fostex mr-8HD send midi clock start and stop messages? when I connect it to my computer to check what it sends after selecting the clock in the systems setting it dose'nt send any messages. and as far as I can see the signature and tempo map is set to 4/4 and 120 bpm by default, so I don't have too fool around with that. why dose'nt it send anything? what am I doing wrong here? it is the latest firmware(v1.31).

hopefully you have some useful insight into this.
Again sorry for the delay - my memory sticks had a fault, now OK. ( if it had been me - I would have been put in a home!?!)
Yes thanks I am back in, it accepted my original password.

What did not work was the system sending me a new password via an e-mail. I asked for a password a number of times but got no e-mail in reply.
    Hi Shane
I have a problem with the new Fostex support site. It will not recognise my password and I cannot get it to supply me with an e-mail and new password - so I can't get in!! Please can you help? My e-mail is michael@michaelbray4.orangehome.co.uk

    Thanks
    Mike. (Terfyn)
