Ok I have a akg p 220 condenser microphone I have bought from guitar center about 3 months ago I hooked up it up the first day and yes with phantom power and got nothing so I set it aside well I wanted to try it again recently and still nothing and I know opening it up voids my warranty but I was extremely curious so after opening up I found the wire to the front diaphragm plate was broke and just setting inside a sheathed sleeve that runs down to the switched pcb just below the capsule. My two questions are first to make this mic work can this wire be soldered .....and Two like a newbie I didn't have all the information about disassembling and removed the center screw on the diaphragm plate so is my microphone shot or does it still have hope once I solder The Wire somebody please help answer this question
