small telescoping extension for mic stand

The On Stage ones are good enough for most things, I have a bunch of the fixed ones in different lengths...but the K&M stuff is much better quality. I have one like this, and it's obvious why it costs more than the On Stage stuff.

One good thing about the On Stage, is they have a solid locking tilt mechanism, with the teeth, so you can hang heavier mics and they will never droop in you...but the clutch style on the K&M is actually quite good, and I've never had it slip when I give it a tight turn....and you can be more precise with it, whereas with the teeth, sometimes it's a bit more fiddling around.
