Hi,
I'm new on this forum.
My name is Thomas, I come from Italy (so please forgive me if my english is not so good!!!) and I'm trying to set up a little homestudio with a friend of mine.
We already have two separated rooms, one for control and one for recording (mainly rock music).
Attached to this message you can see the plan of our recording room.
It's inside a very old building so as you can see every wall has a different length, and height too varies in different positions of the room.
Here comes our first question: we're trying to calculate modal response and we did this using the average length, width and height of the room.
Is this a correct way to proceed or we're wrong? How much and in what way these irregularities could influence room's performance?
