If you consider a 20 year old double-wide mobile home as a "beautiful studio".

BUT

HOW DO YOU GET THE WORK ???

Usually by word of mouth from bands that have recorded here.

Where do your clients come from ?

About a 600 mile radius

What kind of clients do you have ?

Mostly metal, some punk, and some Americana.

Do you advertize ?

I write a monthly column for HarderBeat magazine out of Dallas, in exchange for a small discount on our small ad. That's the only print advertising we do.

Cold call ?

My son Alex runs live sound for some of the big Dallas groups and he'll sometimes get a new group to come out and at least check out the studio.

Bribe ?

Not so far anyway.

Have a sexual relationship with Record Companies' CEOs ?

Not the CEOs, but I'd go after most of their secretaries in a heartbeat.

WE NEED TO KNOW !!!

It's pretty simple: We're known by the quality of our work, and even though our prices are lower than most other studios, our quality is higher than the others. Plus we're fun to hang out with.

Word of mouth, advertising, pin-up ads in local music stores.

Pretty much it........

I get post-production stuff, the vocal or acoustic demo crowd... novices who want to mix their homemade tracks into something better than they could have done themselves.

With the new place I will be able to handle a much wider range of client services.
