Motown's Snakepit Studio

Hi everyone.

I was reading about old Motown records (much like Marvin Gaye, The Funk Brothers and stuff) and in an article it was written that these guys usually recorded in a studio called "Snakepit" and it consisted of a really small room with a really dry sound.

Do you guys know anything about that? Like, do you guys have any info about how the studio REALLY was, or have some pictures of it.
