Low budget bass trap advice, please....

Hi, forum. I am just beginning to treat my mixing environment. I have 18 12x12 squares, and only 2 corner bass traps. Gonna have to do it a little at a time. This stuff is exxxxxpensive! So, can I do any good at all with only 2 bass traps, and if you were in my place, where would you put them? The room is rectangular.

If you build your own with Rockwool, you can get it from Home Depot, some framing and material, you can do your corners for around $150 or less and have some left over.

When you say 'squares' I'm guessing you've got foam?
Do some more reading. Foam will only absorb higher frequencies (even those supposed thick foam corner 'traps' are not great).
Like DM suggests, build your own traps with rockwool. If you can find it local to you, you'll save a bundle. I had to order some from ATS, so paid high freight charge, but still built my first 6 4"x2'x4' traps for under $250.
