Loving the sound of these monitors so far!

Should have the input sensitivity switch set to -10 or +4?

In using a presonus firestudio project interface with the speakers connected via balanced trs cables.

Also, the main output volume pot crackies lots when I adjust it so I want to avoid using it as much as possible (sounds like it could damage speakers. Is there anyway other way of controlling the overall volume (without using the knobs on the rear of the monitors)

Can I just adjust the stereo out bus in my daw?

Have you tried some spray electronics cleaner on that volume control? You could do it with your master track volume sliders, remember to zero them back out when rendering files. Look at getting something like the Mackie Big Knob monitor controller.
