Hey, I am planning on using drop ceiling tiles for sound proofing a hinged Hexegon (the one with 5 sides) Plenty of room and removable. Has anyone ever tried ceiling tiles. I want to use them because I already have them. Trying to save $ ya know. and no I know what you all are thinking. My wife wont be pissed off because no, im not just going to take them out of the living room. Thats only if I need extras...... Just kidding Honey.

Ceiling tiles, absorptive foam and the like will not SOUNDPROOF anything... they are forms of sound treatment (ie - shaping the sonic properties of a room).

SOUNDPROOFING invovles serious construction techniques to isolate sound to a given area and has nothing to do with foam/ceiling tiles.

O.k. Not sound proofing but bettering the dynamics of a room. I guess I used the wrong word. I just want to be able to put down as dry of a track as possible and then add all the effects. Is that the way to do it. Im still a little new at this.
