Okay so I want to construct a small recording studio

this is the room i am given.

I work through DAW so no mixing boards or anything...

i want to do some vocals, guitar, bass guitar, drums and mainly DAW

not all at the same time, but those are the basics.

--- *the pink object cannot move *it is a heater wired to the ground*
-dimensions: 2'x2'

--- *the light blue frames are windows

--- *the open spots are door ways

im looking to use a very low budget as most of my money is going into equip.

I dont have a problem making my own traps, diffusers, etc.

What should I do about placement of acoutsics, diffusers, slot resonators. etc.?
How many rooms should I have?
where should I place my control room/computer and monitors if one room design or multiple rooms?

thanks a lot!

+1 for what Ethan said. No diffusion...the room is too small.

As for your priorities, you may have them backward. I'm not saying that you shouldn't spend some money on gear, but even the best mics and preamps will only sound as good as the room lets them. The acoustics of any small room are *always* the limiting factor.
