How to treat MID FREQUENCY

Hi,
I'm facing Harsh Mid Frequency issue during mixing in my studio. How would you recommend to solve or treat the issue? Should I name the specific requency range?

** will this caused the "Short of Low Frequency" during the mix?

We will need a little more information here,

Room size?
Acoustic treatment already installed?
Monitors being used?

This will get us started.
Alan.

Room Size: 12 ft x 8 ft x 8 ft (height)
Acoustic Treatment: Front Bass Trap (Panel), Walls, Ceiling on Mixing Spot
Monitor: Placed accordingly (the rules), Calibrated

Proper rockwool bass traps will take of all frequencies.

How does it mean?

Appreciate, dudes!

I haven't a clue what to suggest here as I am still wondering what we are dealing with.
The room is fairly small, and 2 of the dimensions are the same so there lies a problem that will need a fix.
What front bass trap panel are we talking about? Home made? Something bought? What acoustic treatment have you got? Some details please. Is the room carpeted or hard floor?
I asked Monitors being used and the reply of "Placed accordingly (the rules), Calibrated" does not really answer the question? Size and brand/model number?

Now you said you have a harsh mid frequency in the studio, how do the mixes sound played in other locations? Is it also harsh?

I agree that the comment "Proper rockwool bass traps will take of all frequencies" did not help much as it's a pretty blanket statement? Sorry Mike.

Alan.
