How do you feel about convolute?

Will a basic convoluted mattress topper help reduce reflections? Also, there is 2'' high density foam made by Airtex which is sold in my local craft store (greenish blue in color) that I was also curious about. The foam is used for seat padding but I talked into a sheet for a few seconds and it dampened very well.. Perhaps I could make 1' by 1' squares of the Airtex stuff and top it with the convoluted mattress?

Read this: http://www.auralex.com/c_sound_absorption/c_sound_absorption.asp

Then check these out: http://www.fullcompass.com/product/299956.html

Also-see and read this: http://mysite.verizon.net/homestudioguy/id46.html and use the Ethan Winer link to read his extensive info
Then see this: http://mysite.verizon.net/homestudioguy/id31.html

To make your own larger and denser panels, Check here: ATS Acoustics: http://www.atsacoustics.com/cat--DIY-Acoustic-Materials--102.html
and here: GIK Acoustics http://www.gikacoustics.com/

Order the right stuff and don't waste your time AND MONEY on the wrong stuff. ;) I'd suggest a combination of the wedgies and the 2" thick OC703 2X4 panels with more of the OC703 2X4 panels.
