Dual Screen 60hz Hum!

I have a Macbook and a 42" plasma screen link set up. When i put the mini VGA into my macbook i get a 60 cycle hum out of my monitors. I checked that this cable is not less that 12" parallel from the monitors power supply and i still get the hum. I'm out of solution ideas. Please help me out here guys.

Plasma screens are not good for audio work. When you don't have a moving image on the screen, they tend to burn the image into the screen. LCD or LED would not give you that problem.

As for the hum, are they both on the same power? Plugged into the same socket or something? Perhaps one of them has a grounding problem?
