FYI guys...Frederic's got one up all ready over at midimonkey.

I joined up on frederic's list last week... So far it's worked just fine and I've picked up a few new ideas... Well worth joining...

My .02 worth...

i just sighned up to midi monkey too. but yeah, a diy forum makes complete sence and id probly spend awhile there. Btw i just made a pop filter and it didnt come out half bad!

but im sure your all sick of that, there should be a permanet thread in the diy forum for all the things that repeat and repeat and repeat.

yeah......

seriously though...isn't this what the "studio building" part is about?

I mean, do we really need a specific sub forum for it?

Yeah, what he said.

I concur!
That's why I posted my "Build this (equipment) workstation for $80" in this forum as I thought that's what it's for.

What about electronic diy projects. All the tube amps, pres, eqs, mics, monitors, everything?
Yeah, an equipment MODS heading could be added.
There are quite a few members who do them.

I would love to have DIY forum. I sometimes make little stuff like pop filter, cables, some weird ideas.

Nothing heavy and I really support the idea!

Hey all,

I actually fired up a "DIY Studio Projects" forum about a month ago at the request of several of my site's visitors (probably why I missed this post! :o ).

There are about 50 users so far -- one of them started a section for guitar building just a few days ago. I also have a section for bargain alerts. Totally open to new ideas -- it's meant for people who (if given the choice) would to build versus buy because pride/satisfaction that comes along with DIY projects. Small projects mostly. I'll just refer people back here for the big stuff. :)

The community is growing slowly but steadily right now, but feel free to stop on by and strike up some conversation if you're looking for a place to talk DIY in the studio! :) Let me know if you're intersted. The "access code" is 2001.
