Desktop adjustable microphone stand

Hi i have a 2.5lb camera that i keep on my desk in front of an elevated computer screen.

I am looking for a way to easily adjust the height of the camera, so that i can lower it when i want to sit or keep it out of the way of the screen and raise it when i want a standing shot.

I currently have it on a 5/8 inch diameter bar that is clamped onto the corner of the table with this:

It works well but the bar doesn't adjust in height.

Are there any stands/bars that would be a good solution to raise the height?
Does the stand/bar have a 5/8" on both sides so i can connect it to the same clamp mount? Also, are there any stands like this that have a one-handed clutch/pistol grip?

The closest thing i've found so far is this:

- but it only has a 4 inch range (9 - 14) and i would prefer more reach.

Could you please offer advice?

Thanks, Dan

You might run through adjustable laptop stands and see if anything might be adapted

Not the cheapest but we used to use a bunch of THESE. You can get a range of accessories for either end so you can clamp one end to a solid surface and there are adaptors to mount lights, cameras or mics at the other end.
