Hi guys,
i was determined to buy the Zoom R16 and suddenly appears the Cakewalk V-STUDIO 20 in my life......
I just need an opinion from you about the difference beetween the two gears.
The good thing about the Zoom is that i don´t need a powerfull pc.
With the V-Studio i did not understand very well.

Best regards to all.

LOL! Okay okay.

Hmmm. It looks like both can be used as control surfaces. But the v-studio seems it's only integrated with SONAR (typical)

The V-studio looks to have only one mic input. The Zoom has I think it's 8?

I think we both know that the better choice is the Zoom

I dont want to take advantage of your kindness but i have a question about Zoom R16.
In the old days i use to record (using a AKAY 4 tracks Tape Recorder) 2 tracks and after that,i used to render it to 1 stereo track.
Like this i could free the 2 tracks for recording again.(I said 2 tracks but could be the all 8 tracks)
It´s still possible to do that with Zoom or it´s not necessary ?
Sorry but i´m 54 years old ex-musician and yet....i´m a newbie........:)
Thanks a lot
Claudio
