Hello everyone! I am interested in building a beginner's recording studio for mainly vocals and some instruments like keyboard and guitar. I was wondering in general what is the equipment needed in a computer based set up and what is the most efficient set up? I've done some of my own research, but I just wanted some opinions.
What I have now-
-Apple Mac OS X 1.33 GHz PowerPC G4 1 GB DDR SDRAM
-Yamaha Portatone Keyboard
-2 JBL Model 4312A Control Monitors
-Studiomaster Club 2000 Mixer
-Digitech Studio V2 Quad 4 In 4 Out Multi Effects Processor
-Boss Dr. Rhythm Section DR-5
-2 Mics
The thing is I don't really know what the exact functions of each are and where they are used. Like I know the mixer mixes all the sounds and of course I know the functions of the monitors and such, but the Digitech and Boss not so much. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
