And I am fairly certain that you when you registered for these forums you agreed to some basic rules about obscenity, vulgarity, sexually-oriented and hateful expressions or harassment outside of designated areas. This is a community (albeit an online one) and I am as much a member of this community as you are. If I can refrain from name-calling and veiled sexist verbiage, then I think you can too.

So it's ok to call a guy a prick, but not a woman a bitch? Either way, I wasn't calling you anything. I agree with what you said above.

I don't recall calling anyone any names - male or female - nor did I ever say that I condoned name calling. In fact, I thought I was very clear about my views on treating members of a community with civility, so I don't see where you would get the notion that I condone name-calling of any kind.

If you sincerely don't believe that saying something like, "You mean bitch, right?" could be considered offensive or name-calling, I can assure you now that it could. If someone were to call your female boss by a different name and you "corrected" them by saying, "You mean bitch, right?" would you expect to keep your job? If not, then saying, "You mean bitch, right?" can probably generally be considered offensive or name-calling.

You did have the option to correct him by saying, "Triquee is female, not male," but you chose instead to say (in essence), "Triquee is a bitch, not a prick."

Yes, but I chose not to do that. He already called you a prick. I could have stayed in the same anatomical area and suggested he call you the female equivelant of a prick, but I chose to go more generic, and I put a smiley at the end of my post.

your peace of mind was predicated on the possibility that someone would steal your song .... you even said so mentioning that you'd had no idea it might have value so you wanted it protected.
