Is this not the best song of all time?

Why is it back in the day I hated country (except Cash), but now I love this old country? I think somehow its nostalgic. Thanks FoulPhil for introducing me to Dwight Yoakam. I'll be listening to some of his stuff now.

To me the "new " country is just 70s rock music with some country twang added to it. I've never been a fan, don't follow or listen to it, but once in awhile when changing stations on the radio I find a song that I can listen to.
 
Some great songs you posted Phil. "He stopped loving her today" gets my eyes moist every time, sentimental sap that I am. ;)
