few lyrics, but has music..

austinm08

the pigeon knows the way.
I've been working on a new song..

and I've been focusing on the music more than the lyrics, which explains why I don't have all lyrics, yet.

Piano, strings, bass, drums..

How do you like it?

You wanna say you'll never leave
You wanna say you feel complete

But you know that these lonely streets aren't where you've placed your dreams...

Rainy day composure

Hi, Austin:

I think I'ver come up with a nice chorus for this. I'm going to do a quick layoout with my guitar. Send me an email, and when I get it done I'll send you an MP3.

Archie,

That sounds awesome. You're a great player! Very smooth.. love it.

I'll experiment a bit and see what I think.. it sounds good, though. I'll get back to you later sometime. I'll be working all day today, though.

Austin:
The chorus transition, after the Am to C that you already have:

Dm7 G

Chorus

FM7 Em7 Am7

Dm7 G7 Gm7 C9

FM7 Em7 Am7 Dm7 G7 back to the Am

Let me know what you think.

I'm not quite understanding this. I'm listening to it trying to match up each of these chords to where you're playing them.. but I just can't get it.

This is what it sounds like to me:

Am C (you played it 3x)

Dm7 G (transition)

FM7 Em7 Dm7 (there was an Am7 in there?)

That's about the point where I get lost. heh.

The Am7, it's there...

4 beats on FM7

2 beats on Em7

2 beats on Am7 (when the melody slides up to G)

2 beats on Dm7

2 beats on G

2 beats on Gm7 (when the melody slides up to G again)

2 beats on C9

then back to FM7
