How do you belt out a high note?

Correct me if I'm wrong, I never had any training so Im not familiar with the terms. Is the chest voice belting the one with really powerful resonance?

Getting intensity, in full voice on high notes or belting as you referred to it. Comes from a blend of the two registers which is why it is called a "mix". It offers the singer the heft of chest voice with the release of head voice
