Not exactly recording but I know some of you have to do playback in live sound situations like I do...
...and to that end I'll mention a lovely little app for the iPhone that I've discovered called "Play Fade Pause". It's dirt cheap and does about 80% of what things like Qlab and SCS do on bigger hardware. I tend to programme it up and take it along just as a back up for any show I'm doing...but have done whole shows live from it just to prove I can.
(In the interest of transparency I should admit that I know...slightly...the guy who wrote the software--we're members of the same live sound/theatre forum and that's how I heard of this in the first place.)
