Zoom R-16

I am using a Zoom R-16 as an interface into Garage Band. The zoom seems to suggest that guitars only go into track 1. Has anyone tried plugging into any other track, and what results did you get.

End result is that I would like to simultaneously record three guitars and three mics.

I assume that the prob is the impedance of the other Inputs; you prolly have the possibility of changing Input 1 to high impedance. Use some pre (it may even be a stomp box, but only with not-true-Bypass), and it should work also...

Use an active DI box for each of the 2 guitars that aren't going into the HiZ.
